First pitch of season opener

Last Saturday, seventh-grader Nathaniel M. opened Poly’s baseball season by throwing the first pitch of the double-header game versus Mark Keppel High School. Nathaniel won the first pitch during the auction at last year’s Friday Night Lights sponsored by The Panther Club. He then stayed to watch the Panthers beat Mark Keppel in both games 12-2 and 10-1. The Panthers gear up for their next game as they host Sierra Vista High School this Friday, March 2, at 3:30 p.m. to start the first round of the 19th annual Dave Moore Spring Classic tournament.
