Each year, Poly enrolls 20 to 22 students for grade 6 and 8 to 10 students for grade 7. Grade 8 is considered a “non-entry” year and admission will only be considered if space becomes available through student attrition.
All application materials for the 2021-2022 school year can be submitted online.

We encourage all families to submit materials early. To help the Admission Office process applications in a timely fashion, your child’s file must be completed by the listed deadline. A completed file contains the following:

Director of Financial Aid Lindsay MoralesTeacher and Administrator RecommendationsRecommendation Forms are requested online through the Admission Portal. Middle School applicants should request recommendations from their current math and English teachers and from one school administrator (principal, program director, counselor, etc)
after November 1, 2020. Each teacher will receive a secure link to submit a confidential online recommendation form.

Virtual Visit Day Visits are a required part of the admission process. This casual group visit is an opportunity for us to get to know your child on a personal level. Grades 6-7 do not have individual interviews. Please note: We encourage families to sign up early to ensure they get a date that works with their schedule.
Required for: Grades 6-7; Grade 8 applicants will be contacted individually to schedule an interview.

Writing Assessment In lieu of the ISEE requirement, we will administer a timed writing assessment for all applicants to grades 6 and 7.

TranscriptsPoly asks for school reports from the previous academic year and first semester/trimester reports from the year students apply. The online form should be signed and given to your child’s current school. Poly requires all transcripts to be sent to us directly by the school.

Student StatementApplicants are asked to respond to short-essay questions to get to know each student better. These questions should be completed by the applicant without any support, so that members of Poly's Admission Committee can get a sense of each student's writing style and authentic opinions.
