After the Bell

Welcome to Poly's Extended Program (PEP), a reimagined space that covers all your after-school needs. Intentionally designed, PEP ensures students are safe, happy, and engaged while making the afternoon less stressful. We accomplish this through a combination of high-quality programming and professional staff. Our PEP staff members do more than supervise — they build lasting relationships with each and every student.
All of our programs are guided by PEP’s core values and purpose, inspired by and aligned with Poly’s guiding statements:

Core values:

  • Extended time at Polytechnic is a valuable learning opportunity.
  • Learning can occur anywhere, at any time, from anyone.
  • Students need to feel cared for, listened to, and autonomous.
  • Students are capable problem-solvers.
  • Poly’s community is unique.

Purpose:

The Polytechnic Extended Program (PEP) provides a space where students practice the skills needed to be contributing members of our school community and the world. This is done through directed activities and unstructured time, while surrounded by trained, caring staff.

Should you have any questions, please contact the PEP team at 626-396-6316 or pep@polytechnic.org.

PEP Includes:

  • clubPEP - Stimulating after-school activities and enrichment
  • busPEP - Two convenient routes for getting to and from school

clubPEP

Dynamic and stimulating after school activities and enrichment

clubPEP streamlines your afternoon by caring for your student from school dismissal until 6:15 p.m. Incorporating homework help, enrichment classes, and free-play, clubPEP is your student's all-inclusive center for afternoon activities. Students enrolled in clubPEP have the opportunity to engage socially, mentally, and academically with their peers under the caring and supportive supervision of our trained staff.

We know that the price for high-quality after school activities can be high. That’s why we have designed an hourly cost structure that gets cheaper the more you use it. And now our families get a 10% sibling discount to help ease that cost even further.
Should you have any questions, please contact the PEP team at 626-765-1227 or pep@polytechnic.org.

busPEP

Safe, reliable, convenient, and affordable

busPEP is a transportation alternative that helps everyone by reducing carline traffic, decreasing our carbon footprint, and making everyone’s commute slightly less stressful.

busPEP offers two routes for families:
  • Route 1 serves our LA families by offering stops in Larchmont Village, Silver Lake, and Los Feliz.
  • Route 2 serves local families by offering stops at The Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, Fair Oaks, Altadena, Sierra Madre, and Arcadia.
Note: Route 2 will be discontinued after the 23/24 school year.
Each route has a morning option, arriving at 8:15 a.m., and two afternoon options, departing at 3:30 and 5:50 p.m.

busPEP offers Regular passes for $140/4-week month and daily passes for $12.50.
