Baseball goes into break on solid ground

Poly’s baseball team enters the break with an extra spring in their step. Before leaving for break, Poly took care of three consecutive league opponents, increasing their record to 8-2 overall, 3-0 in league. Not only is the team undefeated in league, they have seen a runner pass their plate in only one of the last 28 innings and have allowed zero runs in the last 20 innings. Senior Matt Queen has an exceptional ERA of .99 and an 11:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and he is hitting .613 up at bat. This is great momentum going into the break. When they return, they will go up against Oxford Academy in a double-header for the Minutemen Invitational.
