Panthers Win the Home Opener Against the Aztecs

25-17, 25-16, 25-17
The Panther defense had a sluggish start as a bevy of missed serves littered the first set.  However, the Panthers maintained control of the set behind a stout offensive attack led by their senior pin hitters Pierre "My King" Vincent and Scout "Swing Savant" Hollingsworth.  They managed to hold the Aztecs to 17 points and secure the first set.

In the second set, sophomore libero, Liam "Anchorman" Lillard, rallied the team with his serving.  He targeted the inside and out seams of the MK defense leading to a service run that provided the separation the team needed to finish the second set 25-16.

The team found its footing in the last set as sophomore middle hitter, Luka "2nd Floor" Brusselaers, locked in on the Aztec middle hitters.  Luka's disruptive posture altered shots and created key blocks to aid the Panther defense in completing the match 25-17.

Sophomore middle hitter A.B. "About It" Shorter, said of the team's performance.  "It was the growth for me.  We started slow, but made key adjustments during the match to help get us the win."

Sophomore setter, "Action" Jack Gomez, said, "Offensively we clicked early, but consistency will be the key for us moving forward. Luckily I got a huge key-chain!"
