PolyToday: Poly's Own Rose Parade

Some years ago, in the spirit of continually exploring and refining our practices, we began a new Poly tradition. In its sixth iteration, the kindergarten class planned and presented its annual Rose Parade the Friday before winter break. This project-based learning experience is a highlight of the kindergarten year. The Class of 2036 collaborated in small teams (Operations, Equestrian, Band, Floats, etc.) and prepared the event for weeks prior to the parade. Parent volunteers assisted students with designing and constructing their projects. The parade was a wonderful way to kick off winter break.
