Girls Cross Country Prep League Champions

The Girls Varsity Cross Country team, after back-to-back runner-up performances in league meets, edged out Chadwick and Providence to win the Prep League Championship this past Saturday at the Prep League Cluster Finals, the first league title for Poly's girls since 1997. The girls, who came from behind, ran their fastest League Finals team time since 2016.

“What an honor to work with a great staff that includes Coach Farid Barriga Hernandez, Coach Amber Bocquin, Coach Tiffany Henriquez, and Coach Alex Jimenez and a young group of athletes who put forth their best efforts today, after hours and days and weeks and months of steadfast work. The pride and joy outlasts the memories!” Coach Rick Caragher said.

The Girls Varsity Country team will be running in the CIF Preliminaries November 11 at Mt. San Antonio College. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
