Girls Varsity Volleyball Crowned Prep League Champions

Last week marked the end of the girls volleyball regular season and they finished with a bang. On Tuesday, October 10, the team hosted Rio Hondo Prep for their annual Dig Pink volleyball game raising funds for research towards metastatic breast cancer. That game also marked their last regular season home game where they celebrated their seniors. This year they celebrated five seniors, Irina A. ’24, Lilie H. ’24, Cyanne J. ’24, Chloe P. ’24, and Grace S. ’24. It was an exciting game where the Panthers defeated the Kares in straight sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-21). The team finalized their league play on Thursday, October 12 on the road to Palos Verdes where they faced the Dolphins from Chadwick School. That three-set victory earned the Panthers the title of Prep League Champions finishing with a league record of 11-1.
Now, they have their eyes set on the post-season. Check out the Athletic Calendar and follow Poly Athletics on Instagram @pasadenapoly.athletics for all playoff details.

"The team has worked extremely hard this season and have had a lot of fun along the way. We are excited to reclaim the Prep League Championship this year and we hope to take this momentum with us into the playoffs," said Coach Katrina Damasco-Dicipulo ’02.

Go Panthers!
