Opening Day for Spring Sports

Spring sports has begun for Poly Athletics. Although many teams held preseason practices, regular season practices began last week on February 6. Spring sports include badminton, baseball, golf, softball, swimming and diving, boys tennis, track and field, and boys volleyball. Baseball is the first spring sport to have competition this season. Opening day for baseball and for the spring season is Tuesday, February 14. The Varsity Baseball team is off to Schurr High School in Montebello. The Boys Varsity Tennis team also competes this week hosting West Covina High School at the Pasadena City College tennis courts on Wednesday, February 15. Scheduled for Thursday, February 16 are two scrimmages in softball and boys volleyball. The Boys Varsity Baseball team has their first home game of the season where they will play San Marino on the Ochari D’Aiello Baseball Field.
