CIF Releases New Update About High School Sports
California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) released an update regarding COVID-19. Given the newest COVID-19 numbers in the state, CIF made modifications to high school sports effective December 15.
CIF created CIF Sports COVID-19 Tiers, a four-color tier system for each California county that indicates the current status of that county as well as the current status of each sport in that county. CIF will be updating the website on a weekly basis.
Poly Athletics does not expect any competitions to resume any sooner than January 25, 2021. CIF will make another announcement on January 19 regarding the scheduling of playoffs, as well as whether boys volleyball will remain in the fall season or move to the spring season.
