Cross country hits the course for second weekend in a row

Poly’s cross country team went without a meet for over a month, and now they will hit the course for the second weekend in a row. Last weekend, the team competed in the Santa Clarita Invite held at the Castaic Lake Recreation Area. The team performed extremely well, setting new records. Freshman Luke Nelson set a boys’ Poly frosh record and clocked in the second-fastest Poly individual performance on this course. Fellow classmate Phoebe Salvati set a girls’ frosh record. And the team as a whole earned 10 medals for the day.

Today the team is headed off to Mt. SAC to compete in the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational. Races start at 3:40 p.m. For directions, visit the Athletic Calendar.
