Upper School families encouraged to host visiting Japanese students

On the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 13, 41 students from Nirayama High School (Mishima, Japan) will be visiting Poly and staying with Poly families. Poly's Global Initiatives Program needs Poly Upper School families to assist with the hosting of these students, who are eager to practice speaking English. One of the most exciting GIP opportunities for Upper School families is to provide dinner, accommodations, and breakfast during the overnight experience.

The Nirayama students are visiting the United States for only five days, and this hosting experience is their one chance to meet and stay with American families. The NHS students often say the hosting experience is the highlight of their trip to the United States. Parents are encouraged to be friendly American ambassadors by signing up online to host Nirayama students. Questions may be directed to Rick Caragher.
