PolyToday: Meeting over yonder

Here are pictures from a recent Upper School morning meeting. The Garland construction project necessitated a change in venue: Students now gather under the trees on Days 3 and 5 to make announcements, share news, listen to a speaker, and generally enjoy the community of the Upper School. Faculty noticed that since moving the meetings outdoors, students are more engaged with the meeting and less with their personal devices. Sitting with their advisory groups - new this year - has also proven to strengthen bonds in the group. All in all, the outdoor venue has fostered a sense of community among the Upper School. Yet another reason to be grateful to live in Southern California where outdoor meetings are possible!
