PolyToday: This Little Light of Mine

With Garland Auditorium out of commission during the renovation, Technical Theatre students return to the basics. Each student was assigned a Source-Four professional theatrical lighting fixture. Students were tasked with breaking the fixture down to its component pieces, cleaning it, and restoring the lamp to working order. Students even took apart the lens barrels — a tricky job, as the glass lenses need to be placed carefully while bolts and nuts are returned to their appropriate spots. A difficult and sometimes frustrating task which can yield a tremendous sense of accomplishment!
