PolyToday: We got the beat

Seventh-grade students in the Percussion Ensemble began their semester-long block class today. Students received their drumsticks and a practice pad, and they were on their way! From the syllabus: "This is a semester-long arts course that offers students a chance to learn basic to intermediate percussion ensemble technique on a variety of instruments from the percussion family. This class will follow selected state of California Visual and Performing Arts Standards. Students will learn to develop musical skills specific to the percussion family."
