Boys water polo dominates start of season

Poly’s boys water polo team is off to a strong start this season. The team returns to the pool with six seniors. Under the senior leadership this team has shown a strong start, defeating St. Francis 11-8 last week and beating Mark Keppel with ease 14-1. Yesterday they faced the Nitros from Glendale High School. It was a close game throughout as both teams exchanged goals. By the end of the four quarters, however, the Panthers came away with the win over the Nitros 11-9. Tomorrow, they host El Rancho High School during the Fall Tailgate. JV will hit the pool first at 11 a.m.; Varsity to follow at noon.
