Poly College Counselor Samantha Schreiber Attends NACAC
Where in the world is Samantha Schreiber? Our college counselors make trips annually to strengthen Poly’s ties to national universities to best represent our diverse student population. Most recently, on September 18-23, Samantha could be found at the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) in Baltimore, Maryland. This is one of the premier conferences for admission professionals, drawing professionals from across the United States and internationally to share best practices for admission and meet others across the industry. Samantha flew into Washington D.C., attending a Nationals game and visiting George Washington University, American, and Johns Hopkins. “It was educational to get to visit campuses that so many of our students apply to and connect with fellow counselors about the ways we work with students,” said Samantha. “I got to meet a colleague-turned-friend in person for the first time, as we'd only been able to interact over Zoom since meeting 2020!” The Secretary of Education and Maryland governor spoke at the conference, and she attended sessions including writing better letters of recommendation, how best to navigate waitlists, and how to thrive as an introvert. We are so grateful to Samantha for representing Poly at this important conference!
