In this class, students will be introduced to basic drawing and painting concepts, such as perspective, composition, and color, through a variety of painting mediums. The goal of the class is to encourage students to take inspiration from a wide variety of different artists and cultures. Students will learn skills such as perspective, shading, and composition, as well as lessons in painting, including shading techniques and layering. Students will work with pencil, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic paint.
