The Ruckus Readers will meet for an hour once a week giving the readers ample opportunity to read their book and write down thoughts, or questions they have that they want to bring to the next meeting.

The readers are encouraged to share their thoughts and opinions of the book and discuss the book’s “big ideas,” questions, and situations such as difficult decisions the book’s character’s must face. Process our reading and discussions to create meaning from the book. A writing journal and copy of the book will be provided. The art and written word give so much to the reader and this program will assist them in identifying a problem, sift out irrelevant information, and link new information to what they already know!
A selection of 3 middle-grade novels will be provided along with a journal to record thoughts, questions, and statements that lead one to using visualization in our thinking.
