Howie Farer to be honored as coach of the year

The Southern California Tennis Association will be honoring retired Polytechnic coach Howie Farer on Feb. 4. Howie will be receiving the fourth annual SCTA Coach of the Year award for his efforts in the promotion and development of high school tennis. Having served the Poly community for 46 years, including winning seven CIF Championships in both boys and girls tennis, Howie has displayed exemplary conduct, leadership, and expertise in representing Poly.
