Boys Water Polo Victory Earns Them Playoff Berth
On October 27, Poly’s boys water polo teams hosted the Wolves from Flintridge Prep. This marked the last game of the regular season. The varsity team took the opportunity to celebrate their six seniors. This win earned the boys a spot in the 2021 CIF-SS Division 4 Boys Water Polo playoffs.
Coach Sean Grab said, “I was thrilled with the boys’ energy and excitement. I think it’s always hard to play on a day like senior day because of the emotion and expectation, but they managed to compose themselves enough to win. Our seniors kept us on track with a great mindset and were always keeping the perspective on what had to be done next. As for playoffs, we are very excited to see the brackets on Saturday and we think it’s a great opportunity to keep growing and better ourselves with every game.”
