Mike SanClements, author of 'Plastic Purge,' to speak at Poly - March 4

Poly's Global Initiatives Program and Science Department invite the community to hear Dr. Michael SanClements, author of "Plastic Purge," on Wednesday, March 4, at 6 p.m. in Garland Auditorium. We cannot go a day without touching plastics hundreds of times. What does this reality mean for our health and the health of the planet? A biogeochemist and soil scientist and current professor at the University of Colorado's Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research, Mike SanClements, whose research ranges from moderate climates to polar extremes, explores key health questions about living in a "plasticized" world: how to use less plastic, eat better, keep toxins out of your body, and help save the sea turtles!

This event is open to Middle and Upper School students, parents, faculty and staff, and Pasadena community members. So that we can plan for this event, please make an online reservation.
