Students will explore various genres that make for a good campfire story, and then craft a polished work of fiction. Together we will learn about what makes a compelling story through the use of mentor texts, graphic organizers, and supportive sharing. Students will have fun expanding their vocabulary by engaging their five senses and developing a love for words. Our finished pieces will be celebrated around a campfire with a Weenie roast and S'Mores!
