Teacher: Bordeaux Martin
Session(s): 1 or 2
Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 10am - 10:55am OR 2pm - 2:55pm ( 2 Sections )
Second grade was a big year for math: regrouping, fractions, multiplication, and division! A great way to keep this knowledge and skills fresh is with some fun summer time practice. In this session, students will review many of the concepts from second grade with fun games and activities that they can make and play at home. Join us to keep math skills sharp and ready for third grade!
This class will be a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning. We will meet daily for 25 minutes in a virtual setting where students will be introduced to an activity and shown how to create their own practice activity. The remaining 20 minutes will be asynchronous and an opportunity for students to practice their activities by themselves or with friends and family members. Students will know beforehand what materials they need for every day’s activities. Access to Google docs and Zoom will be important for communication during this course.
