Girls golf finish as co-league champions

Girls golf is the first fall team to finish their regular season, and they finished strong. They had an overall record of 11-2, with a league record of 9-1, dropping to Mayfield by three strokes in their last matchup. Led by three seniors, the Panthers share the title of Prep League champions with the Cubs from Mayfield as they continue on to their post-season. Tomorrow the girls compete in the individual league prelims at 1 p.m. at Whittier Narrows. The top girls from Tuesday will continue to compete in the Individual League finals on Thursday. Then the best five scores from the Panthers go head-to-head against Mayfield’s five scores to see which team will compete in CIF-SS team playoffs.
