PolyToday: Golden State meets Sunshine State

Through Empatico, a tool bridging classrooms around the world, Bordeaux Martin's second grade class connected with a second grade class in Florida this morning. Students from each school asked questions about uniform requirements, what the weather was like (it's an especially cold day in Florida today), when they ate lunch, and whether or not they had time for a snack during the day. Students found a lot of similarities — especially when they discussed their favorite subjects, the games they played at recess, and fifth grade buddies.
