PolyToday: Block period begins!

Block period began today for Middle School students, who meet weekly for an extended class period to explore other topics, work on specific projects or participate in Community Outreach, benefiting both the Poly community and beyond. Sixth- and seventh-graders will have the opportunity to sample all the offerings, and eighth-graders choose from several options.
Among the offerings: robotics, solving problems and puzzles in Math Counts, learning about jazz music, knitting, participating in the regional Science Olympiad competition as a member of Poly's grade 8-12 Science Olympiad team, hiking in the foothills, helping in Lower School classrooms, visiting residents at Del Mar Park Assisted Retirement Living, interacting with children at Families Forward - and the list goes on, believe it or not.
