2026 Poly Film Fest: The Experimental Pulse

Friday, May 15, 6-8 p.m.
Garland Theater

Come out and join Poly's Film Program on Friday, May 15th, from 6-8 p.m. as we celebrate a year of student film productions from our Upper School community at the 2026 Poly Film Fest: The Experimental Pulse.

Each year, the film program selects a theme that courses through all forms of study. The connecting thread of this school year has been two-part: the study of experimental cinematic approaches through facing uncertainty, alongside being reminded of the human pulse that lies behind every cinematic endeavor. At this year's festival, students will present a variety of short films engaging a number of genres and extrapolate upon questions posed to them during student-moderated Q&A sessions.

A fundamental question of cinema has been: How do moving images move us? Herein lies both the curiosity that drives novel discoveries in the cinematic arts as well as the sense of a shared human community when we gather together at the foot of the big screen. We invite you to experience the collective pulse.
