PolyToday: The Fruits of Volunteering

Upper School students recently volunteered at Arlington Garden with members of the Climate Coalition club, where they picked oranges and lemons for the garden’s marmalade. When a rind broke during picking, the fruit became an immediate (and well-earned) snack for students. Fun fact: leaving fruit on trees can reduce the following year’s yield. Students also helped with weeding and learned about compost.
