Upper School Speech and Debate Opening Weekend
Saturday, August 23, 2025, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Upper School Speech and Debate Program invites you to Opening Weekend, where Upper School students can learn about and join the team. Students will have the opportunity to meet the coaches and team leadership, as well as learn about the different events and tournaments the team participates in. There will be icebreakers and activities to help students learn skills that will help them participate on the team. A light breakfast and lunch are provided. The event will happen on campus and is free to join.
On Sunday, August 24, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a voluntary team dinner at Dave and Busters in Arcadia, which costs $20 a student. We remind all students and families that financial assistance is available through the Poly Experience Fund to ensure that all students can participate fully in the Poly community, regardless of resources. Students and parents/caregivers wanting to access the fund may submit the Poly Experience Fund request form or email Financial Aid Director Lindsay Morales. All requests and funding assistance will be processed confidentially.
