Students from Nirayama High School in Mishima, Japan were on campus recently for a visit, as part of Poly's Global Initiatives Program. Cultural interactions like these are a vital part of the program. The forty-one Nirayama students visited classes, participated in discussion groups with Poly students (one Global Scholar generated discussion question for the students to explore together), the NHS students sang their school song, and they will be hosted by Poly families this evening. This is the eighth consecutive year the school from Pasadena's sister city from Japan has paid us a visit.
