Alumnus Ezra Callahan ’99 visits for Lunch in the Boardroom

Ezra Callahan ’99 shared his professional path with a small group of Upper School students last week, shining a light on the mix of serendipity and preparation that landed him at the top of Facebook management during its explosion from start-up to international phenomenon. His visit was part of the Lunch in the Boardroom series, now in its sixth year, which gives students career perspective and leadership development they don’t often find in the classroom. Callahan offered candid stories of his transformation from Stanford student and law school applicant to team player among Facebook’s founders then top executive in charge of its corporate identity. The students brought many questions to the table, including a focus on Callahan’s more recent transition to real estate development. Callahan left students with resounding advice to expect and enjoy a nonlinear path to success.
