PolyToday: Wood Design—Pull Up a Chair

Ever wanted to build your own custom furniture? In Wood Design, students spend the semester crafting a chair inspired by the legendary designer Enzo Mari.

Through this hands-on project, students master essential tools—including the table saw, miter saw, bandsaw, planer, and sanders—while building confidence in safe wood shop practices. Currently, the class is learning table saw foundations and finalizing scale models before moving on to full-size builds.
