Olivia I. ’25 is hosting a student-athlete mental health seminar as part of her gold award project for Girl Scouts and partnering with the Females in Sports Club. As part of her project, she invites parents, teachers, coaches, and Upper School and Lower School students to participate in the event. The seminar will discuss different ways students can deal with performance anxiety and ways to cope with academic and athletic pressures. Other topics include how parents, coaches, and teachers can support student-athletes. The presentation will be led by sports psychologist Francisco Chaves, who is part of the NBA Players Association Mental Health Clinician Directory.
