Poly defeats Westridge in a dominant performance!

What a thrilling victory, to clinch our first place position as we wind down the season!  The panthers came out ready to fight after a tough loss against Mayfield, despite battling fatigue and sickness throughout our ranks.  Juliet Lord ('24) had a stellar performance, defeating all three of Westridge's singles players (6-0, 6-1, 7-6), showing tremendous resilience, poise, and maturity to triumph 11-9 in an extended tie breaker battle. Vanessa Christopolous ('22) also ended the day with an epic tie breaker victory following a dominant 6-0 win, and Clemmie Anzalone ('23) did a phenomenal job holding strong in the second singles position, with Alex Kim ('24) tapping in to defeat Westridge's third singles player 6-2.  Sienna Lam ('23) and Ella Wu-Ancipink ('22) delivered an utterly dominant sweep of each of the Westridge doubles teams (6-1, 6-0, 6-1) and Becca Cadogen ('24) and Julia Lai ('25) played beautifully, taking out both their second and third doubles teams (6-4 and 6-3), coming back from a 1-4 deficit to win that impressive 6-4 match against Westridge's excellent second doubles team!  Congratulations on the most important victory all season, panthers!!
