Instructor: Linda Breen
Duration/ Session(s): 3 weeks/ Session 1 or 2
In this course, students will learn keyboarding, the gateway to using technology and computers. Students will have fun while learning the basics and increasing their skill level from intermediate to expert. The class will combine games, contests, music, and exercises with basic skill, increasing workouts to increase students' accuracy, competence, and speed. By the end of the class, students should be able to use word processing for stories, compositions, reports and homework. A variety of keyboarding programs and games will be used. The small class size provides for individualized instructional and support. Keyboarding is essential to successful computer use, and this class is a great opportunity to gain these skills. This course can be taken as a continuation of any of the Keyboarding classes from the first session of summer school. Students who do so will pick up where they left off in the previous Keyboarding course.
