SEL or Social Emotional Learning, is everything you wish you could have learned in school. Students will learn and practice techniques to process emotions and communicate in more healthy ways. Examples of traits to be covered are mindfulness, gratitude, physical and mental health, anger, sadness, thoughtfulness, resilience, kindness, perseverance, and inclusion. Your child will have the opportunity to learn essential social and emotional skills and tools to help them thrive in school, life, and relationships.
Class will be interactive, fun, inclusive, and will teach students things they can do right now to help manage challenges in their life, be their authentic selves, and experience ways to feel and give more gratitude and love. Students are encouraged to come with any type of journal or notebook, a pencil, and a box of crayons or colored pencils to use for in class activities.
