Ready, Set, Van Gogh! 2-3
Teacher: Jamie Ceralde
Session(s): 3 weeks/ Session 1 Only
Days: Monday and Wednesday; or Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 2 pm-2:55 pm
Students will be taken through time as they discover famous artists. Ranging from Vincent Van Gogh to Yayoi Kusama, students will study artists’ biographies, where they lived, and, of course, explore their most notable artwork. We will observe their art to identify their unique styles, then use it as inspiration to create our own artwork. Students will also tour virtual museums to see the famed artwork come alive in their classroom!
The class will be all synchronous sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays for one hour each. If a project is not finished by the end of the session, students may work on it independently afterwards. Students will need a working laptop, sufficient internet speed, basic art supplies (paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils), and headphones or ear buds (optional, but ideal).
