As part of their ongoing development of research skills, the sixth-grade students engage in a six-week project in which they deliver an oral report and construct a project on an ancient history topic of their choice. For the hands-on component of the assignment, students built models, dioramas, or displays related to the subject of their papers. This year's projects included models of the Ishtar Gate, Minoan frescoes, the Pyramids of Meroë, a Greek theater, the Silk Road, an astrolabe, Prehistoric tools and weapons, and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
