Poly is proud to celebrate the launch of La Voz de Poly, a new student publication created by Karina K. ’28, Natalia L. ’28, Kate A. ’28, and Ashlyn M. ’28 under the guidance of Dr. Maite Bernath.
The students behind La Voz de Poly share a deep passion for the Spanish language and a strong interest in learning more about the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. Their Spanish classes at Poly have opened the door to new perspectives and have fostered an appreciation for the linguistic and cultural richness found across Hispanic communities. This publication grew from their desire to explore that knowledge further and share it with the wider school community.
The goal of La Voz de Poly is to highlight voices, traditions, stories, and current events from across the Spanish-speaking world while building an inclusive space that celebrates cultural diversity. The creators hope the magazine will serve as a platform for recognizing Hispanic culture and encouraging students to express themselves with confidence in another language.
Through fiction, nonfiction, interviews, and personal reflections written in Spanish, La Voz de Poly aims to strengthen intercultural understanding and promote respect for the diversity that exists both within our school and beyond it. We congratulate the student team on this meaningful project and invite the Poly community to explore and support their work.
