Middle School Block period is back, giving students extended weekly time to dive into specialized projects, service learning, and honing new skills. Sixth and seventh graders sample a bit of everything, while eighth graders choose from several options.
Step into the Class of 2033’s Debate and Deliberation Block, however, and you’ll find pure, unfiltered joy. The classroom buzzes with animated gestures, triumphant laughter, and rapid-fire arguments as students eagerly dive into the fundamentals of Prop vs. Op. From furious defenses of dogs over cats and NYC over LA, to high-stakes showdowns on baseball vs. soccer and ice cream vs. cake, these young debaters are already mastering the art of persuasion—and having an absolute blast doing it.
