PolyToday: Economics Students Hear from Entrepreneur Bill Gross

Alum parent and IdeaLab founder Bill Gross recently visited campus to speak with students about entrepreneurship, the importance of timing, and what it takes to turn an idea into a successful company. His visit came at an ideal moment for students in Poly's Economics class. 
As part of a class assignment, students took their own startup concepts out into the community, engaging faculty and staff in hallways, quads, and offices across campus. With carefully refined ideas in hand, they delivered 60-second "elevator pitches," sparking conversations and fielding questions as they practiced communicating and defending their concepts.
