PolyToday: Inspired by Ringgold

Upper School students in American Studies recently learned about artist Faith Ringgold from an unexpected source, fourth graders in Mrs. Reece-Jackson’s class. While the Class of 2034 is creating mixed media artwork inspired by Ringgold’s style and storytelling, the Class of 2027 is preparing to begin its own narrative quilt project. Hearing what shaped the fourth graders’ creative choices offered a helpful perspective as the older students begin developing their own stories in fabric.
