Jason Mitchell Named Associate Athletic Director for Communications

Jason Mitchell has been named Associate Athletic Director for Communications at Polytechnic School.

 

Jason most recently served as the Assistant Athletic Director and Associate Head Basketball Coach for Saint Joseph High School (Lakewood). During his time at Saint Joseph, Jason spearheaded the construction of a state-of-the-art weight room while helping the basketball program get back on track by making the playoffs for the first time in five years. 

 

Before his coaching career started, Jason was a solid high school basketball player for Benicia High School in Northern California, earning second-team all-league and serving as team captain. While attending the University of San Francisco he served as a practice player for the women's basketball program for four years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science. Mitchell recently returned to school to further his career in athletics earning a Master of Sport Management degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

Mitchell will begin his work as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications on August 1.
