Poly tennis sweeps Prep in first league battle
The panthers remain undefeated as they took out our first league opponent, Flintridge Prep. Led by our all star singles squad (Vanessa Christopoulos, Sienna Lam, and Juliet Lord) who won 8/9 matches, with Juliet steadily overtaking all three of her opponents and Vanessa neglecting to drop a single game in any of her matches.
Our dynamic doubles duo, ninth graders Dylan Lam and Ava Teng dominated all of their opponents (6-3, 6-0, 6-2), clinching the victory for Poly. In a cliffhanger opener, Seniors Ella Wu-Ancipink and Kate Drum pulled off a narrow victory (7-6, winning 7-5 in the deciding tie break) in their first match, and Becca Cadogen and Julia Lai secured a win in their first round match as well'; Margaret Sweeney ('22) and Clemmie Anzalone ('23) stepped up to the plate in our final round, losing valiantly.
