Girls Varsity Tennis defeats Covina, earning a decisive victory to kick off what is sure to be an exciting season!

None of our singles players dropped a game, with senior Vanessa Christopoulos leading the pack at number 1 singles, junior Sienna Lam dominating at 2nd singles, and sophomore Juliet Lord following suit in defeating all three of Covina's singles players at 6-0.

Ninth graders Ava Teng and Dylan Lam held down our first doubles position without a hitch (6-0, 6-2, 6-0), only dropping two games while defeating their heavy-hitting captain / top player. Our rockin' senior doubles duo, Kate Drum and Ella Wu-Ancipink put forth an impressive comeback while baking in the 97 degree heat (from 1-5 to 4-5) before ultimately dropping our closest match of the evening (4-6).

Congratulations to Clemmie Anzalone ('23), Alex Kim ('24), and Emma Hsieh ('25) for their excellent teamwork and impressive 2-3 record at third doubles as well!  Thanks to all of our spectators and teammates who came to cheer us on.  Next game is Tuesday at Pasadena High - hope to see you there!
