If your child is in grade four through eight, he or she is expected to attend the appropriate homework hour. The homework hour is free of charge. If your child is in kindergarten through third grade, he or she may stay in the Library Study Center or Tom Sawyer. The service charge for using Library Study Center is $12.50 per hour.
Yes, but the child must either attend a second class in the 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. time slot, attend the Library Study Center, or be enrolled in Tom Sawyer Camp. You can, of course, pick up your child at the Wilson pick-up zone at 4:15 p.m. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade who are on campus after regular school hours and are not enrolled in either Tom Sawyer or an enrichment course will be collected into the Library Study Center until they are picked up by a parent. This service will incur a charge of $12.50 an hour per child.
Since only Polytechnic students can enroll in this program, you will not need to provide medical information or other authorizations, as we already have that information on file. We do ask for a confirmation of your email address to ensure we have the most current contact information. You will also need to provide a confirmation and acknowledgement of the policies and fees for the afterschool program.
Any student who needs to wait for the bus will be collected and taken to the library where he or she will be supervised until it is time to leave. This is only for the bus riders. Parents are expected to pick up their children after homework hour and/or any enrichment class they have taken. If you want your child to stay later, he or she may attend the Library Study Center or be enrolled in Tom Sawyer.
