Boys volleyball gets back-to-back road wins before the break

Poly’s boys Varsity volleyball team had a run of road games before heading off to spring break. The team returns only two members from last year’s Varsity team, welcoming nine new players, two of which are freshmen. The team has worked hard to find their stride. Their hard work has paid off with back-to-back wins on the road just before spring break. On Tuesday, the team took a long haul to Palos Verdes Peninsula to take on the Dolphins from Chadwick School. Poly took the first and second set, dropped the third, but bounced back and finished the match by winning the fourth set. On Thursday, the team traveled to Claremont to face non-league opponent Webb School. The Panthers won the first set handedly, but the Gauls gained momentum in the second and third sets. The Panthers had to dig deep and took the fourth set, forcing the decisive fifth set. Poly came out strong and won the fifth set to take the second road victory. This is great momentum for the team as we enter the break. When they return, they have two more road games before they go on a run of home games. Check the Athletic Calendar for details of their game schedule.
