Girls softball off to a good start

Poly’s softball team shows promise this season, with nine girls returning, including the team’s one senior, and four freshmen being added to the team. They opened their season last weekend playing in the San Marino Softball Tournament, when they faced Ramona Convent and Woodrow Wilson High School. Poly defeated both teams with an exciting last-inning comeback against Woodrow Wilson. Although they dropped a game against home team Titans, the Panthers are hoping to bounce back against the Aztecs from Mark Keppel in a non-league, non-tournament face-off. The Panthers head to Mark Keppel Thursday, March 1, for a 3:30 p.m. start. They will then turn around for another weekend full of games as they conclude their San Marino Softball Tournament play.
