Playoff runs in sight

Today marks the end of the winter regular season. However, it is not the end for four of our teams. Girls soccer finished with a league record of 5-4-1, 8-9-2 overall, and third in the Prep League. After the crucial “win-and-in” win over Westridge, the Panthers look forward to extending their season. The girls soccer playoff draw comes out Monday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. Girls basketball has also punched their ticket to the postseason. The girls finished with a league record of 8-4 and went undefeated in non-league play with an overall record of 15-4, and placed third in league. CIF releases the girls basketball playoff draw Sunday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m.

Boys basketball finished their season 7-1 in league, 21-2 overall and with the title of co-Prep League champions with Flintridge Prep. This is their second consecutive league title. The playoff draw for boys basketball will also be released on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m.
Girls water polo dominated the pool this seasons finishing with an undefeated league record of 12-0, 20-6 overall. This earned them the title of Prep League champions for back-to-back seasons. The water polo playoff bracket will be released on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m.

These two Prep League titles bring the count to four league champions for Poly Athletics so far. Congratulations to Poly’s teams! Visit the CIF homepage for playoff details.
